I lost my mind and decided to plunk down 12,500 gold to get a Mechano-hog made. But check out the badassness I bought with it! In the cut, because there are four images. Yes, the license plate does indeed say "PWN". ( Get the motor running... )
Chapter 66 is now up! Chapter 67 has been sent to beta, so that should be up in a week or two.
And now I've got one! This is my hunter (I switched mains from my priest to the hunter).
I'm thinking of getting a Bamboo drawing tablet (it's the new Wacom line of consumer-priced tablets that're phasing out their Graphire line). My old Graphire 3 went to that great junk heap in the sky when the cable went wonky. The good thing about the Bamboo is that it'll have its own detachable USB cable, so that even if it crapped out, I could conceivably get a new one. That 70 buck price tag (about 76 after taxes or so if I buy it locally) looks mighty fine, as well.
It was the year of fire... it was the year of destruction... the year we took back what was ours.
It was the year of rebirth... the year of great sadness... the year of pain... and the year of joy.
It was the end of history. It was the year everything changed.
The series intro for the fourth season of Babylon 5, my favorite out of all five seasons, each line narrated by a different major character in the series. The theme song was also my favorite.
Seems Dark Horse Comics published a one-shot called the Knights of the Old Republic Handbook that had profiles of all the main characters in the Knights of the Old Republic comic, which had Malak (when he had hair! and wasn't called Malak!), Revan (they kept the identity hidden, a nice nod to the various versions of Revan out there), Carth, and Saul Karath. All this is information about their lives before the K1 game. Interesting, Karath aged a lot in the time of the game, he was blond in the comics. Anyway, here are the scans: Alek (Malak)CarthRevanSaul Karath (Sorry, Pris, looks like you were right when you first said he was blond.) Tue, Jun. 17th, 2008, 08:08 pm WTF Bioware?!
So I got Mass Effect for PC. Everything's cool, installation runs smoothly -- except it tells me my video driver is too old. I think nothing of it, happily pressing the PLAY button....
It doesn't freaking load.
It hangs. Nada. Zip. Zero. Zilch.
I trusted Bioware to release a product that would at least load, even if maybe the graphics are chunking, but damn...
Wasted my 40 bucks. Wed, Jun. 4th, 2008, 11:25 am Mass Effect
Just ordered the PC version from Amazon.com (free shipping 39.99). Can't wait to see if it measures up to the rest of the other Bioware games. I've been careful to avoid reading spoilers or synopses, so I hope I'll be blown away from the awesomeness.
Just bought all five seasons of Babylon 5 on DVD for 125 bucks. Man I loved this show, and I never saw it again after Sci-Fi picked up season 5.
Some thoughts after finishing as a goody-twoshoes. ( Read more... )
The game is gorgeous, except for the movies, which I suspect looked great on TV resolution but not so great on computer resolution.
I suck at the combat, though; I had to crank the difficulty down to "Student". I'm too used to WoW combat.
Ordered it from Gamestop for 19.99 (25 bucks with shipping and taxes). Let's see if it's as awesome as everyone says it is.
This will only make sense if you play World of Warcraft; the rest of you, move along. ( And so it begins... )

Patch day sucks.
Actually patch week is going to suck.
I just hope we can raid at all; the lag last patch was so bad everything in Blackwing Lair owned us. Thu, Sep. 14th, 2006, 09:34 pm Argh.
I hate doing backgrounds. I may chicken out and get a screenshot. Note to self: Do Not Click On Links That Contain The Words 'Dueling' and 'Challenge'. P. S. Figure out how to set up a spotlight scene in real life. Lamp + Camera?
